This is the place where I’m supposed to tell you lots of great things so you can get to know me better and find out if it makes sense for us to work together.
But, before I give you the works…telling you who I am and what I’ve done, I want to draw your attention to the colorful box above with the words:
Your success matters most, BOLD, CONFIDENT, MISSION INSPIRED
That’s what I want you to know before I tell you anything thing about myself. I wake up every single day and get to do work that I love that lights me up from the inside out. I’m a lot “coach” mixed with a good dose of “cheerleader“.
My inspired mission and calling is to help coaches and leaders go where they want to go.
I know what it’s like to be inspired by a mission to help and serve the world in powerful ways with your coaching and leadership calling. I also know what it’s like to need a little or a lot of help or support to get there.
I was painfully shy and insecure, unable to speak in front of 5 people without having a giant meltdown after the fact! I struggled to feel my own worth and to understand my value or brilliance. In fact, I wondered if I even had brilliance! I’ve since come to believe that everyone does.
Stressful insecurity meltdowns were a way of life, I wanted to bring my ideas and passion to life but I was too busy hiding and being really hard on myself. Something deep had to change for me if I would ever be able to survive doing the work that I wanted to do.
The perspective shift came when I had a thought of my work not being work but service. If I had something refreshing to give to a thirsty world, would I hold back in fear or would I give them a drink?
That’s the question that I asked myself and the question that preceded my shift. I didn’t need to be insecure about being a source of generosity and refreshing in the world. I took the focus off of me and focused on those around me. I asked the question “how can I honor who they are by really seeing them, speaking honestly to them and serving them?”
Every once in a while I might get a little twinge of that bothersome critic called insecurity, but for the most part I’m comfortable in my skin, confident in my calling and outgoing. I’m able to comfortably speak to hundreds (or more) serving the people I’ve been called to serve and living my inspired mission.
The transition wasn’t easy. I did a lot of inner work, got vulnerable enough to ask for help, prayed many prayers, and learned many love lessons. I’ve worked with amazing coaches who helped me understand how to “be myself” and appreciate my unique DNA. Part of the stress that I had before and that many coaches and leaders have now is not being sure of who to be for other people. My freedom journey taught me that I just need to be comfortable being me and to say “yes” to my inspired mission, that’s what matters most.
“I went from being shy and insecure, unable to speak in front of 5 people without having a giant meltdown after the fact!”
I thought that I was supposed to perform for people or for the approval of others. I didn’t know that letting go of what others thought of me to embrace the life and mission I was designed to live would bring me boat loads of freedom and excitement about living a great life. Taking my eyes off of comparing myself to others and getting honest about who I am was a game changer.
I was better able to “go where I wanted to go” and now I help others do the same! I never thought that my greatest pain would turn into my great calling and service to others.
What’s happening now?
I’ve had the joy of training hundreds of life coaches and leaders helping them become bold, confident and brilliant. Then we work together to cultivate the skills that they need to deeply connect to their clients and to powerfully support them to achieve the transformational outcomes they desire. I love helping people learn how to coach and then how to become really good at helping their clients have lasting transformational shifts.
The other part of my freedom experience was seeing what I do as service and making a contribution to the world instead of as doing work. When we serve we are actually changing the world around us and people can feel it.
That’s what great leaders and coaches do. I believe you are one of those great leaders, I’d love to serve you and support you in becoming as bold and confident as you want to be as you live out your inspired mission as a coach and as a leader.
Maybe you’ve already followed a path that’s lead you to success but now you want to do things a little differently. You feel the pulse or nudge inside telling you there is more. More looks different for everyone.
For you it may be taking your coaching to the world in a bigger way, starting the non-profit or leaving the job that you’ve had for years simply because it’s time and you’re ready for an adventure. Or, perhaps it time to shift your perspective and see the work you do now as your mission and calling.
Are you ready to live your inspired mission?
I partner with coaches and leaders to create forward moving strategies that boosts their ability to confidently take action and to do what matters most to them right now. Our strategic sessions help you go from idea to activation.
I’ve been told that my work helps clients knock out fear and resistance, look the things that hold them back straight in the eye and go toe to toe with them until they are stepping into their greatest impact and contribution.
They end up not just doing work, but showing up boldly and confidently in the work that they do.
One client said that it was the support and encouragement from our sessions that he valued the most. Because of it he took his business from one that blended in with the crowd to one that positioned him as an industry leader.
For me, the best part of coaching is getting to partner with brilliant, innovative, heart-centered people who never cease to be amazing.
I’ve been a Community Relations Coordinator, Marketing Manager, Consultant, V.P. of Training and Development, for over 25 years I’ve been a coach. The International Coach Federation describes coaching this way:
“ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today’s uncertain and complex environment”.
I wrote my first coaching book in 1996 and lead my first coaching retreat in 2004. In everything I do no matter the work, my inspired mission is always the same…helping you go where you want to go.
I help coaches move forward and leaders go to the next level in their inspired missions.
I intentionally created this site to give you tools and information that you can use right away. Each month I feature a coaching book, article or resource that I think you’d enjoy learning about. In January I’m launching The Essentials Master Class. The class was created in response to the questions I get asked the most from coaches and leaders. Until then, please visit often, you are always welcomed here.
